Precept 31UL,
Can I run my generator and or my inverter when driving without causing any electrical issues? Thanks

Absolutely, and I would venture to say most of us do. I use it to keep the RV cool while driving as i'm in Florida, and to exercise the generator so its used regularly and stays in working order.

If you are running the generator, no need for the inverter. The inverter will use the 12V DC house batteries to make 120V AC to run things like residential fridges, TVs, some electrical outlets, etc... So if you want those items to run while you drive but do not want the generator running, the inverter is what you want. If you want to run the generator to have the overhead ACs on, microwave, etc.. then yes you can run it while driving and it will provide the 120V AC to the fridge, microwave, TVs, etc...

Hope this helps...

Real quick. Does it matter if you turn it on while driving before or no difference?

None at all.... alot of times I set the ACs and then start the generator 1-2 hours out from my destination to let it start cooling before I get there if its not too hot. Short answer is you can start it before or during the trip, no difference.

I leave my inverter on all of the time while on shore power and or generator unless i am storing the coach. That way one less thing to worry about turning off or on while on the road.
