I have installed softstarts on both of my AC units. I can now run both AC on a 30 amp circuit. This really helps because I no longer need to hook-up to 50amp service to run my Precept with both AC which opens up a great deal more camping space options. Another note is, the AC runs a lot quieter since the softstart keeps the AC from doing the abrupt starts.
