AC receptacle power

I have a 2016 Jayco Alante 31V with a Wineguard in-motion satellite. How can I get AC power for my TV without the generator?

You should have power to the TV if you're plugged into shore power and the ignition is off.

AC receptacle power

I should have been clearer in my question. How can I get AC power to my TV (with Wineguard in-motion satellite) without running the generator while rolling down the road? I know I have AC power when plugged into shore power.

Does your unit have an inverter?

This thread explains it. http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f5...-on-11021.html

When the ignition is on your tv is disabled. So you need to make a mod to the power plug and then have your inverter on.

Look at the socket where the TV is plugged into. It will have normal romex wires and two separate wires that carry 12v DC power. Those DC wires are connected to the ign. switch and supply a 12v signal that kills AC power when ign. is turned on (moving down hiway).

Cut or disconnect the 12v wires to the socket so it can not receive the signal and the socket will remain powered when ign. is on. Now you will be able to turn on inverter and have ac power when the coach is in motion.
