Adjusting awning height

The awning on our 35S seems to go almost straight out. Sometimes in the afternoon we’d like to “lower” the end for more shading but haven’t figured out how. Has anyone been able to do it please?

Do you know what model awning you have? On mine when fully extended on the tube, has the make, model and serial number.

Some are not adjustable at all.

But my carefree, has a little detain pins and with the awning closed you can adjust them. My instructions say to have them no more that three clicks apart. I keep one end lower to shed water better.

Good luck

On our 2016 35s there is a bar that has push button slide adjusters there are 5 holes for adjustment. You do both arms. There cannot be more than a 3 hole difference and still close properly. Very easy to adjust but hard to explain how.

Don't forget that, if you set one side a notch higher than the other, rain will run off the low side, rather than pooling in the middle, ready for the cold shower on the morning you leave... :-)

I simply love this Forum and all I learn from it. Thanks so much. Found them, did them and really happy with new, lower setting!
