Question Alante cargo doors have to remain open?

Just purchased a 2016 Alante and went to hook up to campground utilities. The Winnebago we had rented in the past had access points in the floor of the cargo bays that you could remove and pass the fresh water hose and shore power line through. I can't find the same type of thing on the Alante and have just left the cargo doors cracked so the hose/cord could connect. Of course, every morning the doors have been blown wide open. Am I missing something or is there maybe a modification I can do? - Thanks, Bill

Sounds like the factory didn't install the pass thru parts that should have been installed on the bottom of your compartments.

And which the dealer "should have caught" before delivery.

The Alante should have round pass through holes in the bottom of the electrical and wet bay compartments.

My 2016 Alante has the pass-thru, they are round and have a snap down door to cover them, easy to miss. There is one in the shore power and utility compartments.

Yes, the Winnebago I would rent had these pass-throughs so I was shocked to not find any, and I have looked at each compartment very closely.

Take pictures and send them to Jayco, They will make this right. Dealer definitely should have picked this up before you took delivery.

I'm taking it back to the dealer on Friday. Also, leveling jacks retract when you turn the engine off, chassis battery runs down over several days, and several other minor things.
