Alante Front Cap Lack of Insulation

We have a new 2016 Alante 26y and we're currently staying in the Adirondacks for a couple of weeks. While my wife is working, I'm exploring the new rig, cleaning, polishing, and fixing all manor of things.

The one thing I noticed is the top of the front cap (above the windshield) has no insulation at all! Shouldn't there be something up there between the fiberglass and the living space? Yes, there some trim boards, but they have gaps between them. I would imagine that when it's cold outside and warm inside, condensation could be an issue, not to mention heat loss.

Anyone else see this in their rig?

I also noticed there is no insulation behind the outdoor tv - you can see the back of the drawers!

I'm going to fix this but I'm just not sure how to do it.

Anybody have experience with this issue?

Btw, we do shows all year and we will be using it in cold weather.

Our Tiffin Class A was the same way. Tons of posts over on that forum where people added insulation in the front cap. A combination of Reflectix and batten incased in plastic to prevent the fibers from getting out. I'd add all I could as that is a major heat source, as it was with ours (black front cap).

Our Seneca overcab is the same way... A big Dark Fiberglass front cap - poorly insulated when in the mid-day sun. It is hottest there than in the cab.

Rock insulation

Yes, the Precepts and other Jaycos are all the same - no insulation anywhere (front cap, rear cap, floors, etc.). We have added Roxul (spun rock insulation, fire retardant) and lots of spray foam wherever we can. We also sprayed insulation all over the undercarriage - helps with noise as well as heat/cold.

The jaycos are not four season motor homes. You have single pane windows, holes in the roof and floor, vents, exposed water lines and tanks, and no insulation. I've tried to plug gaps where air can blow directly into the mh in the dash and floor. Getting ready to insulate water lines. Then you have condensation to deal with. Mild cold you can survive but extended cold will be rough.
