Alante/Vision 27A cold weather use

Alante/Vision 27A is on our list of possible small class A RVs to replace our travel trailer. We live in NC and camp 10 - 11 months of the year between in state campgrounds and South Carolina. Our previous trailer had all of its water lines inside the envelope of the trailer so below freezing temperatures were not that big of a concern. When looking at the 27A I noticed that the water lines were running along the outside of the frame and while insulated on the long runs were still exposed in places. We had a similar situation on our trailer before last and it required us to drain the lines depending upon the expected overnight temps. This is something we do not want to have to go back to. The holding tanks don't bother me due the heating pads and even without they are large enough and hold enough liquids that freezing isn't an issue with how long we usually stay under 32 degrees.

We understand the 27A is not considered a 4 seasons RV but are interested in current owner's cold weather experience where it might be in the 20's for 4 or 5 hours and below freezing for an hour or two beyond that.

Thanks

Cold weather in 27A

We have a 2021 Alante 27A. Bought new last January and headed south for warmer weather. Found out right away there are a lot of areas cold air gets in. Insulated a few areas and it seems better. Last night on our way south again we had 23 degree weather overnight We ran an electric heater from around 1:30 am and put the coaches propane on at 4. Was 50 inside at 6am. I had disconnected the water hose before we went to bed but did not drain anything. We are now further south and hooked up to water again no broken pipes!! We did have heavy frost on slide toppers and they wouldn’t roll up until it warmed up this morning.
