Anyone else's mirrors sliding down?

I know it gets slightly warm here in Vegas, but really? Two sided tape not holding up. I already had one side on order because of a scratch we noticed during initial walk through.

I took them down so they wouldn't fall down and do more damage.

yeah the getting inventive but don't know what the effects will be. It is up to the hard ware store and get those mirror fasteners (DIY) or wait for warranty availability.

Ours was like that when we bought it last year and was replaced. The guy at the dealer said it would happen again if the unit saw the same high temps inside as the tape simply wasn't designed for high heat. We haven't had any issue since but we store ours inside so the temps don't get much over the high 80s inside.

The mirror was the first defect that we fixed ourselves to avoid a 2 week wait from the dealer.
I used a construction adhesive made for glass and mirrors.
No problem since.

Mirrow

Any chance liquid nails would be a possible fix?Only bad thing it would be really permanent! We live in Phoenix and found some trim in the master put on with double sided tape. That didn't hold long!

That's my thought also. I had one mirror that had a deep scratch in it that they are replacing under warranty. As soon as they start sliding again, I'll fix it myself, correctly.

It has to be special construction adhesive for mirrors, the regular stuff won't stick. Check with a local glass shop.

When we bought ours, one of the mirrors had already slid a bit from sitting on the lot. Dealer ordered and replaced mirrors and cabinets since they said they were one item! Not sure if they used a better adhesive but after sitting in 85+ degree temps and driving across the southwest last month with highs topping 105, the mirrors have not budged (yet!).
