Awning wont retract

2021 Pinnacle Awning wont retract. Any ideas?

Does it make any noise when you try to retract? Any electrical noise? mechanical noise? Our '21 Pinnacle 36FBTS did this on its very first outing, except it would not extend, and 400 miles from the dealer. The power plug had come off at the top we found out later. After messing with it for a couple of hours, we called a local mobile tech. One hour and $280 later, it was fixed.

Not sure about the model of awning, but mine has a manual retract in case the electrical goes out. There's a little rubber boot/plug in the awning. Remove that. You'll need a socket and drill/impact driver/socket wrench.

very true, unfortunately for us, we were brand new newbies at this and had zero knowledge of its inner workings, lol.

Hey Jetlag, thanks for your input. I figured out the problem; it had rained and the awning was carrying a lot of water. I took a mop and got underneath the awning and pushed up on the awning and a boatload of water came falling out. Then it worked perfectly
