Backup Camera Problems

I'm hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction. my backup camera stopped working on our 26AY. We were going to take it to the dealer to have it checked, but the snow we had this morning and are supposed to get in the morning made me decide to cancel, I don't like to drive in the snow. That being said, I worked for the DOT for 35 years, and I don't get out if I don't have to. I'm hoping someone might know the routing of the cable for the backup camera. I've contacted Jayco and they don't have a schematic for the wire routing. They said they thought that it went down the frame and crossed over at some point. They were apologetic about being unable to help. Hopefully someone might have noticed where the cable might be routed. Thanks in advance, Mitch Solacz

Have you checked the fuses for the camera?

Maybe undo the center console and see if the camera to radio wire is connected. On my Jensen the wires were labeled. I've had problems with poor connections.

The left and right cameras work, so I don't think it's a fuse, I've had the radio out and all connections were tight.

It might actually be the camera itself since the side cameras are working. We had to replace our rearview camera due to it being faulty but luckily it was under warranty. Hopefully yours is under warranty also

Bought ours used, the gentleman that had it said it was too big for him to handle, so he only kept it for about 6 months before trading it on a smaller unit. The camera worked until just after we got it home. then was intermittent for a month or two then quit working altogether.
