Brake controller install 2018 precept 35s

I need to see pictures of how you guys have your brake controllers installed on your rigs. I have a p3 and I just can’t decide where to mount it. I’m really tempted to go right to the left of the gauge cluster on top of the dash but I’m not really fond of the idea of drilling a hole in my dash to feed the wire through. Anybody have any suggestions…with pics if possible. Thanks man for the help!

You don't need a brake controller in your coach. You need it in the toad.

I’m pulling an enclosed trailer not a vehicle.

Yeah, I was thinking the same, and since you should only go no more than 5000lbs of capacity, and you will only do flat tow which you should have brake bubby in your toad, and if you go with the tow dolly my sure that the dolly either have surge or electrical braking. I’m not sure of anything else that you would need one, I don’t have a class A so I wouldn’t know of any other way, good luck.

My total weight will be around 4000 lbs with a14’ enclosed trailer loaded with my utv. Buddy of mine has the same setup and we were in the Rockies last year and he didn’t have a brake controller for the trailer and his brakes got damn hot on some of the inclines to the point that it cause his ABS to fail. I’m prewired for a controller just wanted some ideas on where to mount it.

I think I can but I was worried about hitting it with my leg. That’s why I was asking for pics of what others had done and the locations they had selected.

I will following this to see what they say. Have you find the wires to plug into with the brake controller? I'm thinking that you want be able to move it too far for where the wires.

Yes I have found the wires and my rig is prewired and i bought the cord harness so it’s really easy to hook up. Just looking for ideas on where to install

Okay, I look at the dash for your coach and I was thinking about, what about underneath the dash in between your legs, in line with the steering wheel, I don't know what kind of bracket that come with the controller so you can attach it on that lower panel. Oh, I forgot to tell you it's a nice coach.
