bypass for truma and o-rings

Good Morning,

Winterizing gone wrong.

Went through all of the steps to winterize my 2018 Precept 31 UL with the Truma Aqua Go. I pulled off the filter and allowed the little tank to drain. Noticed that one of the o-rings was mis-shapened. Not sure of the size but it did not look that bad, and I did not have a spare, so I put the water filter back in and began filling the unit with RV fluid. When I was all done rv fluid was leaking out of the water filter for the Truma. My guess is that the o-ring failed.

The manual refers to closing and opening valves (page 14) but it does not show where these valves are. Perhaps I should have drained and bypassed as I used to do in my old coach?

Any help is appreciated.

Copied from Truma's website. The water heater should be bypassed IF valves have been installed. If I remember correctly, I do not have bypass valves.
