Chasing a leak

Found the carpet wet on the passenger side under the dash area. Precept 31 UL. Ended up tearing out all the carpet up front because I couldn’t trace where the leak was coming from. I’m going to put down HVLP anyway. With the plywood exposed I proceeded to spray the window with the hose. Sure enough water showed up inside on the floor. Checked all around the frameless window. Even tightened up all the screws holding the two frames together. Still leaked. On one of my tests with the hose, I looked up under the dash as best as I could and saw some drops of water falling off the wires going to the mirror outside. I caulked the mounting plate for the mirror on the top and both sides. I even removed the 4 mounting screws and filled the holes with silicone before putting them back in. Still leaked. This water is coming from the mirror. Found out the mounting plate has a weep hole in the bottom and someone sealed it up at some point. I wrapped the mirror with a trash bag and sprayed down the whole window really good. No more leaks. Going to remove the mirror tomorrow and check where the wires go through the wall. Going to clean out the weep hole and this should fix the leak. Spent several hours finding this leak. I bought this used and apparently it has leaked before as the plywood under the wires from the mirror is dark.
Pics of the weep hole on the drivers side is open and passenger side is sealed up. Might want to check yours. You can see in the one pic a little stream of water coming from where the wires to the mirror go through the wall.

Great detective work - glad you sorted it, and thanks for the pics!

Got around to taking the mirror off. As usual, manufacturers cut holes for wires 10 times the size needed. The bottom of the hole was all gummed up with caulking and foam forcing any water to go inside following the wires. I cleaned it all up. Filled the hole with spray foam and let it cure. I cut the cured foam about a 1/4 inch short and filled in on top with silicone. Cleaned out the weep hole and reinstalled the mirror. This should fix it.
