Chassis Battery Replacement

OK, so here is a stupid question, we have a 2018 Alante 31v how do you replace the chassis battery? The cowling on the front does not open enough, you can barely get your hands in there, so how is it done?

TIA

Our 2016 31v "hood" opens enough to get a battery out and in. You can also stand up behind the grill from underneath if you're under 5'6" to remove and replace the battery.

I have even crawled underneath and stood up behind the grill to add my oil so that I wasn't making a mess spilling it everywhere after an oil change. I'm 5'9 so it is possible to do.

If you don't want to crawl up underneath I removed and installed mine, 2018 31V, by attaching straps to the disconnected battery and lowering it to the ground. Then slid it out. Reversed this to install but you need to be able to reach in and grab the strap. We have an extended reach gripper that works or just a piece of wire bent to a hook on the end. It's a bit of a pain that they did not make the opening big enough to remove the battery and it's also not easy to fill oil, trans, etc.
