I had the opportunity to met and talk with a Jayco Rep. over the weekend and learned an interesting tidbit that ALL 2020 Class A's are getting a PDI at the factory! One of the things they do is a 20 minute water spray, horizontal and vertical with slides in and slides out to make sure the seals don't leak. Class C's - They are sporadically pulling ones and doing PDI.
This was comforting to me as we just purchased a 2020 Precept 31UL in May and have found very few issues with it and so far all minor.
-Recalls (2) Generator timer (repaired) and the cover over the air intake-(we removed).
-Passenger seat wouldn't swivel easily (part replaced and adjusted)
-Wrong size air mattress for sofa (replacement ordered)
-Zippered cover on sofa back - zipper splitting open (waiting on replacement)
-Hot water heater flame needed adjusted (done)
-a shelf support was crooked (done)
-Basement door slam latches needed adjustment (done)
-Bedroom slide- after a couple of months seal started catching on metal track and causing the slide not to close properly. (seal replaced)
-there might be something else but can't think of it at the moment.
Everything else we thought was a problem turned out to be owner operator learning curve.
We have a great dealer who has a great team.
