Class A Oil Change

Firstly, I apologize for my pictures being sideways. I've searched for the answer to this, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve recently changed from a Class C to a Jayco Alante Class A. Changing the oil on the Class C was a breeze. This Class A had me scratching my head as regards oil changes, the oil filler cap is WAY up in the engine compartment and hard to pour oil into. (At least for me)

This is what I came up with. I’m sure most of you folks have already figured this out and may even have a better way to changing the oil, but this is how I do it.

I bought a hand pump from Harbor Freight, and pump the oil into the engine.

It worked with no leaks.

Here are some pictures of my setup. I would like to see any other setups.

I actually can stand up behind the front grille, of our Alante, and in front of the radiator. Much easier to pour into the filler tube.

I can’t help with the oil change. I have just figured out how to post pictures to this forum. The one thing I do is I hold my phone/camera vertically when I take a picture. They have all turned out in the correct position. I not sure if that is the reason my pictures are in the correct position but you might give it a try. If it doesn’t work I guess I have just been lucky.

My Precept has basically the same front end as your Alante. I also use a hand pump to transfer oil from the container into the oil fill tube. The only thing that might be better is a battery operated pump but it works well for now.
