Cold air in drivers compartment

Just brought home my new precept home from northern In. My heater did not keep driver comp as warm as I thought it should especially at my feet. Has anyone else had this problem??? Thks

A couple of us have tested heater output and found the temp coming out of dash vents to be 130 degrees. Stick a temp probe in yours and if it hits that temp there is not much else to do.

I figure my rig would be bearable to 40-45 degrees ambient and then I will hang blankets from overhead bed to close off the cabin from rest of coach. That should help a lot as you only need to heat a much smaller area.

Last resort - - run the furnace.

At your. Feet did it seem to be a draft really cold

I have never noticed a cold draft at my feet but you have to remember, I live in hot climate. I have never drove my coach in temps below 50 degrees f. Out here, we tend to fight heat a lot more than cold. I don't get hot feet when driving though and never noticed a draft. I'm going to drive it today but it is going to be 72.

Our friends owned a 2014 Jayco Precept 29UR and had the exact same problem. Their feet were always freezing. They finally took the unit directed to Jayco who had the unit serviced by the Chassis supplier who found a crimped vacuum hose (apparently a common cause of this problem). All the vacuum hoses were replaced, some of the duct work corrected and an additional vacuum pump/reservoir added. Made a huge difference.

Just drove from Minnesota had the same problem. I noticed wind nose from window. Will take to dealer soon.

Ifmit just the drivers side feet that are getting cold, younmay have an air leak where the wood engine cover fits up againist the front steel supports of the chassis. In orderbtomfind the source of your air leak you need to pull back the carpeting from the side of wood engine cover by the gas pedal. On pur Precept what I found is cutout/hole in the front support that wasn't sealed. Once you have the carpet pulled back, place a bright light inside the coach and then go outside, drop engine cover panel and you should see light shinning through the opening as well as around the rubber shround for the engine.
