Compartment doors won't open

We just took our new 2015 Jayco Precept 35UN on a week long camp.
When we arrived at the campsite we were not able to open some of the compartment doors on the outside. Specifically the access door to the sewage connection hose and three of the storage compartments. All doors were unlocked. Has anyone else had this problem

Are the latches actually stuck or is it the doors themselves? If it is the doors, are you on a level site? I have seen where coaches that are not level causing the chassis to "twist" somewhat causing side-swinging doors to stick. It may not even look that far off, but if the top clearance is tight it doesn't take much to jam the doors.

Sometimes the door hinges need to be adjusted down to create more clearance at the top edge.

Latches won't open on lower deck

I've had the very same problem. On some of the lower cargo compartments the latch mechanism was not being pulled back or retracted far enough to allow the compartment door to open easily. I had to disassemble the latch itself and bend the metal arm that pulls the latch bolt in so you can open the door. Be careful , the latch bolt must protrude enough to keep the cargo compartment closed but must retract enough when you pull on the cargo door handle to open easily.
Hope this helps.

Hey Ts55 can I ask how you got the door open? I just noticed that my generator door will not open. I can lock or unlock it and the latch is free and the handle seems fine but it seems like something is preventing it from clearing the body part of the lock assembly to open. I can feel the lock open and when I pull the handle there is movement just not enough to open.

Just a thought. Are you level front to back and side to side? If not your door could just be wedged.

The rv is in an indoor storage building with a concrete floor. It used to be an old factory so I am assuming it is reasonably level

I have had a similar problem with our MH. Try to push in on the door while you pull the latch and then pull the door open. See if that will work it did on mine.

It is currently in storage but I am planning on taking it out around the third week of February in preparation for an upcoming trip. I will try that. I just dont want to pull and break anything with how long replacement parts are taking.
