Dash Board Rattle

I own a 2017 Jayco 31P. I have noticed that after driving it awhile now, the tops of the dash board is loose. I believe I have read other posts about this. One of our owners wrote a post on how he tightened the brackets. If anyone has some info on this, I would appreciate the info.

I have a 2018 31P with the same problem. There are a few post here on the forum. Search for bouncing dash. Seems like the dash pulls away from the support framework. What I did was cram pool noodles under the dash by going in from the front under the hood. I also lowered front tire pressure’s from 91# to 85#. These helped a lot but not completely. Reattaching the framework would be the best way to go. I later raised the tire pressure up to 87#. Rode better at 85# but was mushy. 87# is good for me and my driving style.

We had a dash that would flop around. When I removed the dash I found that there are bolts with nuts that attach the top to the front of the dash. Some had nuts and some didn't. While I had the Dash off I fixed defroster hoses that were smashed and added Rock Wool for insulation and sound deadening. Worth a look JMHO

If you reach up from under the dash on passenger side you will find 2 or 3 bolts going into slots on front panel. You also should find screw going from dash to wall on passenger side. Nest I removed center radio section and found a couple of bolts I could reach from there. Same thing on drivers side, a couple of bolts and possibly screw into wall. you also need to remove the trim pieces and screws along the windshield.
