we are trying to add a Dish Network satellite to our brand new alante Jayco 2017 and we're very confused about the setup I was hoping maybe somebody could help us figure out how to get it working

Does it have satellite hookups first of all. Are you adding a dish to the roof or is it a portable dish you are setting up? If the later, I would set it up and run the cable directly to the tv first of all to get all the settings right. Then I would try to start tracing the cabling backwards to figure it all out. Some of those things are a nightmare!

Lots of folks here have TVs, satellite dishes, etc. I'm sure you'll hear from knowledgeable people.

If you are roof mounting, make sure it works from the location you’re going to mount it before drilling any holes.
