Driving with overhead bunk lowered

Want to store some items on the drop down bunk on our Jayco Precept 31UL.
Want to know if we can drive the RV while the overhead bunk is lowered about a foot.
Any advice or lessons learned would be appreciated

I think there is an ignition interlock on our 29S, with that little seat and latch along the left wall that would prohibit your proposal. I'm sure it could probably be bypassed, but don't know why.
