Entry door

We have a 2015 Jayco Precept Motorhome 29UM. When the entry door is opened it rests on the awning arm. Then if the wind catches it or we just don’t catch it, it gets caught, and we have to use a crow bar to release it. Any suggestions on how to prevent this????

The only thing holding it is the little shock strut. Can you adjust that? Ours does not rest on the awning but if I let it swing on it's own it will hit it. We keep a little pressure on door when opening. I did replace the strut on mine as it overextended once and never worked properly after that.

Thank you for your info. It is in the repair shop right now, and have a new door ordered. When we get it back we will get a new strut!
