Fiberglass roof stress cracks

Has anyone had an issue with their roof having stress cracks. I have a 35S 2016 since I am out of warranty Jayco said they will cover half oof the repair , my part is close to $1000.00 wondering if I’m the only one with a roof issue.

Where on the roof are the cracks? I have a 2018 and haven't seen any.

2016 Alante and no cracks (yet) but my paperwork says the one piece fiberglass roof has a 10 year leak warranty, and a crack will cause a leak for sure!

Those are just gel coat cracks and won`t weaken the part. It`s just a visual thing.

Did he mention where the cracks were? If in the end cap (cab) then yes, but 90% of the roof is not gel coat, sheet fiberglass with a pebbled surface, and any crack is bad news.

No he didn`t mention, but a half a brain would tell you that he is most likely talking about the end cap. Please tell me where they use pebbled surface fiberglass on newer trailers. The roof is covered in either EPDM membrane or TPO.

It's a Class A, not a trailer. They have a solid roof made out of a "pebbled" fiberglass.

Then I am sorry you only have half a brain, he is posting in the CLASS A forum, so I assume he has a class A, which has the roof I mentioned.

yes, I just found some hairline cracks in the Class A roof

I was up on the roof of my 2018 Alante inspecting the seals, etc., and observed three areas with hairline cracks on the pebbled fiberglass roof. The cracks are at the rolled areas where the roofline goes from slights slope to vertical.

Do these look like your issues?

Anyone have advice on how to best repair this before it turns into a leak?

This is exactly what happened to my roof, I thought some big guy stood too close to the radius when installing the awning arm. I called Jayco and had them send me a 12"12" patch and used Marine 5200 adhesive and a heat gun to form a patch. Has held up well for the last 5 years, but my cracks were longer. There is nothing but some foam under the radius so not much support there.
