First 2000 mile trip question

This will be my first 2000 mile trip in our 2015 Precept. So my question is, is it better to run my refrigerator on the generator or the inverter while I'm traveling?

If you cool it the day before it may stay cold all day with no power. On road we often use propane though. If it's really hot out you may opt for geny and coach a.c.

Generator uses fuel - Inverter runs of the battery and battery get charged while driving.

Thanks for the reply. It most likely will be hot. So I will be running the generator. I was just wondering how many run there refrigerator on the inverter while traveling and which was more efficient.

I run mine off propane on days when we don’t need the coach AC. When the engine AC can’t keep us cool then I start the generator and run the house AC and fridge.

Just returned from our 4000 mile round trip to Glacier National park in AB Canada. We had no issues at all with our 2015 31ul Precept. Ran the refridg on generator and on propane while traveling without issue.

That was going to be my question. Is the Refigerator wired to inverter?

Just put it on AUTO -and as they say - "set it and forget it". It'll switch back n forth as needed. And BTW it does not run off the inverter/batteries.

Hhmm, does not run of the inverter?
I just looked at a 2019 31UL and they have a residential fridge. I asked the sales rep if it can be run also form LP and he said no. He believes it would run form the inverter.
I mean it must run from the inverter, because it needs 120V .
Can be run from 12Volt.

Cheers
