Ford warranty

I wrote last week about breaking down and having to go to a none Ford dealership to get things fixed. $4600 was the bill. Ford is denying the claim because I did not go to ford dealer, of which there was no Ford dealer around to do the work.

I'm not surprised. That would apply to any company unless you get their approval first.

Snotty reply

If there is no Ford dealer, what do you do. Also I was Advise not to drive it because one of the wheels could fall off because the kingpins were busted

x2.
You're supposed to call Ford and get authorization for a shop to do the work BEFORE you get the work done.

Get Ford authorization or get it towed, by flatbed if necessary.

Call FORD for authorization for the repairs or get it towed to a FORD dealer which is covered.

FORD Owner's Manual (35 miles of tow is covered - 3-yr/36,000 mile warranty)

**Quantum beat me..
