Fridge question

The fridge has been on propane for the last week.I started the generator today for a couple of hours is the fridge suppose to go from propane to power when the generator is running or stay on propane.

If you have the Fridge set on automatic the propane will go out and electric element will kick in. The fridge has to be set on automatic though!!

The options may be electric or propane. The other option depending your maker is automatic or propane.

Just tried it again shut everything off hit on then went to mode and selected AU it went AU to LG not AU to AC the generater was running what am i doing wrong it just not working when the generator is running will be interesting tomorrow when we have 30 amp to see if the fridge switch's over to ac

Cert, you have a Norcold, right? You have probably checked your owners manual for directions on the operation of the controls.
So, and it's a long shot, but my fridge/micro/AC quit working recently on generator. The culprit was a loose ground wire in a junction box between the generator and the transfer switch.
