Gas Cap

We have a 2016 Jayco Alante 31 AV and have had problems with engine light coming on after a fill up. I do tighten the cap till it snaps 2 or 3 times. The manual has a few reasons for the problem. The light does not flash and usually goes out as predicted after the 3rd cold start and some distance covered. Do I need a new cap or are there other
issues???

We use our ScanGauge to read OBD codes and clear them manually if needed. It also provides lots of other great engine information. We simply move it from motorhome to motorhome.

I was having this problem with my SUV. I purchased a new gas cap and the problem was solved.

Have the codes read, should always be the starting point.
