Generator power cable rubbing against drive shaft!!

Beware.... I was putting on the tire covers today for winter storage. While putting on the left front tire cover, I saw the main power out 240v cables from the generator literally rubbing against the drive shaft. I only have about 900 miles on the rig, but it was enough to rub half way through the plastic/vinyl conduit the power wires run through and enough to rub the black paint off the drive shaft. See attached picture.

I took some zip ties to pull back towards the chassis frame and emergency cable.

This is something you all should check!

Mark

Unfortunate things like that happen, even with PDI the technicians might miss that one.

We had a very thorough PDI on out TT, but no one crawled under it at the time. I did after it was home, but only because I'm the curious type, and just wanted to have a look around under there.

Mark, we bought our Precept new in 2016 and I spent 2 hours and 200 cable ties re-dressing all of the wiring under the coach. Another thing to look for while you're under your coach is to make sure the catalytic converter has a heat shield on the top of it so the bottom of your storage bay doesn't melt.
