Tank sensors are lousy at best. Sometimes when we empty, the tank shows 1/4 full for a while after, then it will go out. You can add gray tank cleaner/deodorizer which may help the next time, but sensors can be stubborn. They complete a low voltage circuit (ground) when wet, to light up the monitor panel, so it may take a some time for the light to go out. Don't bet the farm on their performance.
