Here's the link to the Precept Owners Group on this site: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/gr...%27+group.html
We had never owned an RV at all before our Precept and 20 months & 15,000 miles later, we are still very happy with our coach. I find the driving stability not to be an issue and have been towing a car for a year now.
If you invest the time in the Precept Owners group, you'll certainly find some negativity, but that's what Forums, by nature, bring out. But overall, you'll find more happy Precept "campers" than not. Good luck with your search & hope to see you in the group!

We went to the dealer yesterday for a nice test drive and to sign the rest of the paperwork on our 35s. We can't pick it up until the 21st though.
As for driving something that big, I was shocked at how well it handles for the time we were in it. It is the second 35s that we have driven and we like the way it drives so far. Jayco has come a long way with their J-Ride. Our 2005 Greyhawk felt like it was going to roll over going around curves, but the 35s handles curves soooo much better. We can't wait to get it home and start using it.

Any tips about storage? Is there any space under the trifold sofa? We have ordered our 31ul with the larger refrigerator.
Our old class C had a big pantry. This has none. Trying to figure out where to put things We don't carry a lot of clothes so maybe will put food in the wardrobe in plastic boxes. Any tips appreciated.

The dealer we went with had two in stock and one on the way, the two in stock were not equipped as we wanted, so the one that just came off the assembly line now has our name on it. Now we can't wait for it to arrive.

Congrats -- can you tell me if the Precept 35s is on the same chassis as the Precept 31?

The 35S is on the Ford F53 22,000 GVWR 228.3" Chassis. For 2017 the 31 UL will be on the 22,000 GVWR chassis.

Web site not accurate, we have been through this on another forum.
2017 31ul on a f53 22k GVW chassis, 22.5" tires, but still 190" wheelbase. It seems the tire size is where the GVW of 22k came from. Those bigger tires carry much more load.

No. The 22k comes from the combination of the axle, springs and tires. The 18k axle is a Dana 80 with 4.30 differential ratio and the 22k is the Dana S130 axle with the 5.38 ratio. I research before I post on the Internet. All the chassis information is on a Ford posted PDF file on the web. I studied extensively before buying a coach. I wanted to know what I was driving before purchasing.

Good info!
The thread on another forum no one uncovered the axle and diff change. We do know the cab sticker on the 17 model 31ul says 228 inch wheelbase from memory, but it actually measures 190. Ford allows the end manufacturer to change the wheelbase (longer or shorter) to suit their needs.

Actually the wheel base doesn't get changed but the coach manufacturers weld a longer frame to the end of the Ford frame. Under my 35S there are huge plates they used to to attach the extension to the frame to make it longer. Hopefully the welds are good!

Picked my 2016 Precept 31UL two weeks ago! Same configuration. The Shower door had to be replaced and they rewired the Bedroom AC, other than that the PDI went great! Can't wait to get on the Road.
