Hot water tank drain plug

I have a Alante 29s 2019, and spent some time today trying to remove the white plastic drain plug on my water heater so I can winterize. I don’t have a socket large enough to unscrew the plastic plug, and was trying to do it with a vice clamp. It didn’t work too well and I was starting to damage the plug, more like stripping it. I’d like to go out and buy the right size drive socket, and wondering if anyone happens to know the size I’ll need?

In a pinch use one of the ends of a 4 way lug wrench if you can access it.

Use a 6 point socket only to prevent any further damage

I keep spares handy. Less than $7 for a pair.

Personally, I would replace with a new plug every couple of years if I had that type of heater. My last camper had a hot water heater and the plug head broke off. Trying to remove the threaded portion it fell into the tank where I could not retrieve it. Put in a new plug and didn't have further problems but not what I wanted. I believe the plug fatigued after several years but maybe I overtightened also.
