Smile house water pump

We thought we would have to replace our house water pump on our 2015 31 ft Precept. It is located in a hideous place and would require contortionist plumbing to get it out. It was running, but not pumping water. We thought maybe it needed to be re-primed. Nope. Then we went to You Tube and watched video on the anatomy of the pump, etc. At the end, the guy suggested a few things to try before you replace. He suggested you take a screw driver and tap around the outside casing of the pump, just in case some small piece of debris was clogging one of the valves. Damn! that was it! We tapped, we tried it and it pressurized correctly and now we are back in business. Next time I need brain surgery, I thin I will check DIY You Tube!

I remounted mine down on my Precept 8” to give better access if needed. I carry a spare and can change it out in 10 minutes. Before you couldn’t even see it.
