Not based on mileage, but age. Here is what MICHELIN recommends anyway and it should apply to most brands. The full TSB is linked below.
Some recreational vehicle owners may choose
to operate MICHELIN® tires after the tire
warranty expires. For consumers who choose
to operate tires beyond the tire’s warranted
life, Michelin recommends frequent tire
inspections, especially before long trips.
Michelin recommends that any tires, including
spare tires, should be replaced after 10 years of
service, even if they have not reached the legal
wear limit.
For tires that were on an original equipment
vehicle (i.e., acquired by the consumer on a
new vehicle), follow the vehicle manufacturer’s
tire replacement recommendations, when
specified (but not to exceed 10 years).
