Instrument Cluster Bad

I had my Parking Brake light and chime stick on after sitting for a couple of months. Parking brake was releasing OK, checked the parking brake switch, all fuses, master cylinder ABS switch, pressure differential switch, and all wiring I could reach. I have the service manual so the only thing I could not test was the dash cluster (needs special tester). Took it in to Ford fleet service and sure enough the Instrument Cluster was bad, $1100 later new cluster and all is good, thank goodness I had an extended warranty that covered it. There is no way a 5 year old vehicle should have this go bad, good job Ford!
