Jansen Radio Ghost

I have the weirdest thing going on with the Jansen JRV215N radio installed on our Precept. The darn thing comes on without turning it on. I'm talking about no one in the MH at all. Early this morning, about 2:00 am, it come on, speakers blasting. So far today I have checked for alarms being set. The built in clock does not have an alarm setting. This has happened several times since we bought it a couple months ago. The timing of it turning on is random.
Anyone have any idea of what is causing this????

Is this one of the models with the NOAA weather alert warning? Maybe it is trying to tell you something? (not familiar with the specific model, but some Jensens do have the feature).

I have that radio in my 35UN and it has turned itself on once. I was using the clock in standby mode which does not turn the unit completely off. After adding an amplifier, I had to stop using the clock in standby to get amp to go off. Having clo0ck on in standby will not kill the remote lead to amp.

Also, this unit does have a NOAA with alarm that is automatic. Not sure if that caused mine to come on as the weather was fine at the time?

Just be sure you understand, the radio is not off if you see a clock. That is easy to change in the menus.

My iRV radio does the same thing. All of the sudden it comes on and at random times. The alarm setting is turned off, so unless it's sensitive to a remote control nearby, I can't figure out what's going on. Until then, all 3 zones are turned off. No music for you..Skynet.

Say what you will haha... When we was all at my sisters house who just passed away her radio did the same thing... Full volume an blaring away... Her hubby commented that was the first time he ever heard that radio play as it was always used for the clock display.

Haven't had a bit of problems since I changed the set up in NOAA but don't have the heart to tell our granddaughter that I fixed it. Maybe after halloween. :-)

We had the NOAA come on with a tornado warning at 2AM and he kept blaring until we turned the NOAA off. Where could we go? It also sometimes turns on and starts playing music because of my iPhone and bluetooth. It seems it only does this randomly.
