Jayco Alante 26X Spare Wheel, please read

I want a spare wheel and are able to change wheels.
Also, are all 6 wheels on the motorhome the same?
If so one could take a rear wheel and mount it on the front if needed, or ?
Has anybody mounted a spare wheel with mounted tire underneath?
Greetings, Harold

I carry a spare tire with me in the front passthrough space just above the chassis rails. I can find a service truck to change a tire on the side of the road, but finding the tire can be more difficult. I do not carry mine mounted to a wheel, just the tire for weight and space considerations.

Thank you.
Since you are a Senior member I assume you are on the road quite a bit.
So how do you get more than $ 250 worth of gas at fuel stations?
Without to use car or more CC ??
Greetings, Harold

simple way is not to let the tank go below half. Use Gas Buddy to check prices along your route. Good Sams card will get you 5cents off a gallon.
Hope that helps

I fuel up at the end of each day before I stop to camp. That way I can track my mileage, fuel consumption, generator usage, etc... I just end up doing two or more transactions with the same card, at whatever limit the fuel pumps are set to. I always choose Debit, and let my bank know when I head out on a trip.
One thing you can do if you choose to go inside, is to prepay for the fuel and then whatever you don't use will be refunded back to the card. That would guarantee a single transaction, but does mean you go into the store at least once.

I also use gasbuddy and try to find cheaper gas and then use google maps to determine which ones I can get into with my Motorhome and toad. Pilot, Flying J, Loves etc... typically are easier to get in and out of.

I have been very fortunate and not needed road side service (yet). But if I needed them, would they be able to remove the flat tire and mount the unmounted spare on the same rim?

Yes, a properly equipped roadside service truck (truck that tends to big rigs on the side of the road) can change a tire on a rim roadside.

I've had a tire removed and new one mounted while on the side of an interstate. Interesting they do it manually with really big tire irons. You'll need to be certain the shop has that capability. Sometimes they send a tire change guy in a small car without the necessary tools.
