I put a sound bar on my TV in the front room so that it would be louder, it just plugs into the audio jack on the TV and powered it up. it is much louder now seems to work fine

Very timely! The sound from my living room TV is beyond bad, and weak. I'm trying to hook up a Bluetooth transmitter, connected to the 1/8" sound jack from the TV. This is likely the same connection for the sound bar, which sounds like another good option.

I bought a Bluetooth transmitter, but having difficulty getting it to pair with dashboard stereo, so might try another brand. That way sound will come through stereo speakers.

If I can't get this to work the sound bar is probably going to be my best bet. I find it hard to believe this wasn't included as standard. Would have cost pennies.

The seki tv I have did have the audio going to the dash stero using the headphone jack. It sounded better using the audio rca jacks. Problem solved with a yamaha sound bar and no sub woofer (not needed) using the optical jack.
I powered the sound bar using the same outlet electrical outlet for the tv. I reinforced the valance with 1/8" hollow wall anchors, then hook & loop the sound bar on top of valance. Wonderfull sound.

I had the same problem, the TV volume was poor. Oddly enough, when I unplugged the audio cable from the TV (the one that goes to the dashboard radio) the TV volume increased substantially. Don't ask me why.
