Looking forward to some response to this question. I have been considering the same thing for my 2015 Precept.

Well went ahead and purchased the RVLOCK for the class A and just installed tonight. It all went together pretty easily and seems to work fine. Only issue I have right now is coach has the paint upgrade on it and a couple of spots aren’t covered up and will have to do some touch painting with what Jayco supplied.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to our 2020 Precept. Can you please send a picture of how the final install looks?
Thanks

I had two on the toy hauler. One on each door and loved them. No more keys when stopping along the road among other benefits.

Which lock was originally on your RV that you replaced? Was it the Bauer keyless lock? Did you get the RVLOCK V4.0 with a fob?
Please let us know how this one performs. The reviews say the surface numbers wear off but if you use the fob then it shouldn’t be an issue. Thanks in advance.

We have a 2021 Precept 34G that has a new "car/automobile" style door latch.... see attached pictures. Does anyone know of a keyless replacement for this style door latch and lock?

thx Mark

keyless entry

Just ordered my RV Lock. 40% off so I thought it was a good time to strike. Hope to get it before I cover the RV. Otherwise a wait until spring.

I just heard back from RV Lock & Company.... Quote: "Unfortunately, we don't have a lock that can replace that style.
We are not planning on replacing that style, I’m sorry."

Not sure what that second sentence means. You can clear that up?

Installed the Class A motorhome RVLock on my 2016 Alante. Had to do a little dremel tool work to very slightly clean up the door opening, and the strike plate. It went in easily and works great. Didn't need the sticker to cover any paint blemishes.

The outer case sits flat on the door. I can't speak on the strength of the metals used to manufacture the lock, but it appears to be very similar to the Baurer lock that I removed. The backplate, latches and deadbolt appear to be the same. The outer case is a metal case as well. I believe it would take a significant beating with a hammer the remove it.In my opinion, it would probably be easier to punch through the thin fiberglass outer layer, styrofoam insulation, and thin inner door material, than to break the lock off

If they want in they will just put a prybar in between the door and the jam and force it with little effort. The lock bolt will hold, the fiberglass will not.
