Kitchen table will not convert to bed. . Alante 31V

I could use some pointers or tips here.

I have NEVER been able to get my kitchen table to disassemble into the bed properly. I can't get the legs to turn loose. I've even tried one of those rubber strap wrenches, but I couldn't find one that fits the small diameter of the legs at my local Menards.

My dealer said it was fine and works the way it should. I assume they have The Hulk working in their service department, because I CAN NOT get these legs to turn loose.

Graunke,

My kitchen table doesn't have legs, so not sure if they are the twist off ones or the ones that just slide into the well. Do you have a pucture? Is there a black plastic trim at the bottom of the leg where it sets in the holder? If so you need to twist the black plastic trim piece to loosen it up.

If not, and it looks like the leg just sits in the holder, try pushing on the leg back and forth while lifting up to see if they come loose.

Maybe someone with your exact coach can help. What year is your allante?

They are supposed to twist off. It has the black cups, and those are in the “loose” position.

So they look like this? It should not be very difficult to twist the leg one the black piece is loose. Once the black piece is loose does the leg move around any? Maybe push down and twist?

Yes those are it. I’ll try applying down force while twisting.

Bad News.

I tried down force, up force, and twisting force, and nothing is moving these things. I am getting kind of frustrated. Am I the only one that has had this problem?

I’m sorry I can’t help I don’t have that type of table. Mine has no legs and just lifts up to convert. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
