Kwikee steps quit working

The Kwikee steps quit working during traveling to our next destination. I have determined the motor is good. Seems I don't have power coming to the control unit.

I looked at the fuses located by the steps - all good. Is there another fuse/fuses somewhere that I need to check? If so, is it located under the hood or under the driver's side near the parking brake?

During the trip, it had been erratic; extend and retract several times before it would open fully during the trip and then it just quit.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

I have the same problem, check the magnetic contact at the bottom of the screen door. If you have power the gears may be stuck which can be unstucked. Couple good video’s.

If you get through all the checks, make sure you examine the actual wires. I had a somewhat similar problem, and after checking what I thought was everything, I was finally laying there just looking at the wires and thought I saw something strange, ran my finger over the wire and felt something on the other side of the wire. I flipped it over and discovered a tiny nick in the sheathing. Pulled it back with my fingernail and found the wire was corroded almost completely through. So it would pass voltage, but when a load was placed on the circuit, voltage would drop out and the step wouldn't work.

Update: fixed and working. Unbolted the motor 10mm dropped it an inch then reinstalled it. All is working. Figure the gears jammed when i opened them earlier in the day and the bottom step hit a curb.
