Ladder Recommendations for Alante 26

I’m in the process of purchasing a preowned Alante 26X. Owned an ALFA SeeYa
Previously-which had a mounted ladder. My question is two fold-has any owner installed a permanent mounted ladder, eg, Stromberg Carlson, model LA-401 or 401BA. Is it a big hassle. Is it easy to locate the RV’s blocking or subframe? OR, should I just buy a telescopic ladder, probably around 15ft? Thanks

I had a ladder mounted, got the rear wall block diagram from Jayco, as it is for a 26AY it may not be the same as for the 'X' If it is I can send it to you. The one I mounted was the Stromberg Carlson, and I use it to clean the roof, toppers, and solar panels, works well. Storage is an issue with our smaller Class A's, I didn't want to take up a lot of space in my pass-thru with a ladder I use once every couple of weeks at best. Besides, the mounted ladder is a great place to hang a windshield cleaning sized ladder or bikes.

I wouldn't talk to them about a ladder, as they don't supply one they won't recommend one, just ask for a rear wall block diagram.

One bit of caution.... The block diagram is easy to read...BUT! in smaller print they mention that the diagram is shown as seen from the INSIDE of the coach, so the reverse image when standing outside looking at the rear wall. This is how CW ended up putting my ladder on the wrong side
