Leaking windows on Precept 31ul

Picked up our new 2016 31ul on Monday. Pretty heavy rain this morning and both driver and passenger window are leaking at the top of the window. Has anyone else had this issue?

My 35UN (same windows) has only sat in light rain but we did drive thru a very heavy storm last summer and no leaks while moving. Been real lucky for leaks - zero so far!!

Just talked to my dealer and he said to put the rain gutter extensions on it.

I haven't had an issue (yet).. but excuse my ignorance.
What are "rain gutter' extensions?

Precept Leaking Windows

If you are under warranty, return to dealer and when he suggest "raingutter extentions, I would suggest to him where he could put one of those in short order. Leaks need to be repaired properly.

Mohok is absolutely correct on that. Don't let the dealer weasel out on doing what Jayco pays him for.

Your dealer was hoping to save the cost of warranty AND sell you something.

preceptjoe, don't put this off. Rain leaking in can be a real problem for any
RV. Contact Jayco Customer Service Motorized division by phone immediately.

We've been in down pours both sitting in parks and on the road. We've not had leakage.

we picked up our 31 ul on Thursday.
we have a leaky door in tv cabinet
we have leaks in base of dinette slide
had most of the parts in the furnace replaced last saturday (5 hour in dealership)
our entry door sticks
our insta hot water heater cycles hot to cold every 20 seconds of shower time
lost ac power to all tvs
headlights not aimed correctly- have to drive with brights on
auto leverers not right, leaves nose down slightly
several drawer slides not installed correctly, some were repaired after walk thru,

Sounds like you got a well built one. Most of us had much larger lists!!

Check the breakers in master bedroom and see if power comes back for TV.
Headlights are a running joke on Precept. They can be adjusted but getting a dealer to do it is not easy - call Jayco before going to dealer for this.
The door is adjustable. My dealer replaced hinge and it is perfect now.
The water heater takes some learning to use correctly - reread the instructions.
The slide leaks are serious and will require a lot of "coaching" with your dealer to fix. Stay on him!

Next post will address the auto level system , , , , ,
