Use bronze wool instead of steel wool, no rust to contend with.

We love it once the recall was done.
Now our season is over and before winter storage, I am looking for any places you may know about that i need to seal up somehow to keep the mice out. First time Class A owner.
Had travel trailers but this is a whole different animal.
Thanks in advance.
Rick
I have tried all of the so called home remedies with weak results. I have never had them inside of the coach but usually on top of the engine. The one thing that actually works is led lights. I bought a 80 ft rope light from Amazon that encircles the entire MH (31 UL). It can be set for different color/blinking functions and even has a timer for 6 or 12 hour operation. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S5QQGWY...roduct_details. But one other thing. My genny was almost ruined when the mice/rats got to it. Had to drop it and rewire all of the controls. You can screen that off thankfully to prevent problems.

I used "Great Stuff" Rodent block foam anywhere there was a possible means of entry. So far, two seasons, I have not have any intrusion.

Thanks redshift.
There is alot of good ideas and info in this thread. I was looking for some specific info on this model and you gave me two good places to address. I can see the door dies not seel very well. Definately going to check the windshield area. My biggest fear is the enging compartment.
Thanks again.

It was the transaxle bearing recall due to low fluid levels. Pretty big job. Took two months to get in to a fird desler that could work on a 22000 pound RV.
You should have been sent a recall letter, but if not check out some threads in this forum related to that recall.
Good luck!

Wtrboy,
Can you give me a little more detail on the engine screen fix you did?
My storage area has no power so lights are out

Lay on your back and find the pipe penetrations. There are quite a few in the water bay behind the waterpump. Also the low point drains behind the electrical bay (rear left) use sealant and buy a few copper scrub pads or find some copper or brass wool to stuff in sealant around pipes and wires.

Here is a pic of it. I need to seal around the exhaust a little better but so far so good.
Another thing you can do with the lights is Harbor Freight has solar rope lighting in six or seven foot lengths (about $10 each). It has a blink function that you can use. Just put the small solar panel where the sun can reach it. That should work unless people steal them. If you dont see the pic let me know

Crawled under today at the low point drain behind electric compartment. It comes out of the hot water tank compartment. Huge hole there. 3 inches in diameter.
Question: do i screen cover that to let air in or full cover it?
Right now it looks like a perfect nest spot.
