Saw this thread while doing some research preparing for boondocking in a couple weeks. I also have the AGS Magnum Dimensions in my Seneca. I was interested in the low voltage setting as a safety measure to kick on the Gen when you hit a preset voltage. The default factory setting is 11V which to me is very low compared to the advice I have seen on this and other sites. Am I correct you shouldn't let the batteries draw down below 11.9V? the setting on the AGS are very analogy looking with no discrete setting. I'm going to set mine to 12V. Any thoughts out there?

When there is a load on the batteries, the reading will be less than 12. I initially had mine set at 12. Often when the furnace kicked on, the AGS would be triggered. I adjusted it to 11.6 or so and now it works fine. Ran for 2 days, boondocking on a work site in 28-35 degree weather and AGS kept the battery charged sufficient for the furnace and other ancillary stuff.

Thanks Oventek. Did you just kind of wag in on the dial where you thought 11.6 would be and then check on your monitor when it would start up? It makes sense that under load you get the quick drop.

I just guesstimated where 11.6 was. Honestly never even confirmed it, just knows that it has worked so far!
