Maintenance

I own a 2018 Jayco 31P. The coach has 19,000 miles on it after this summers last trip. My question is……how do you and what do you guys need to do as far as maintenance? I change the oil (Amsoil), check all fluids, inspect and fill tires regularly. What else is needed to maintain these beasts. How do you get to it? Do you guys remove the in cab engine to do inspections? What else should I be addressing? I have serviced and switched to Amsoil Synthetic in the trans. I have replaced the reared fluid with Amsoil. What other maintenance should I be performing? Do you rotate tires, they seem to be wearing evenly front and back? What method of tire balancing is best?
TIA.

Pretty much what you are doing is what should be done. I use Amsoil products in everything I own that has a combustion engine. I set up a calendar of maintenance for the vehicles and follow it. As long as you are doing regular fluid changes, and inspections there is not a lot more you can do.

Remember time, not mileage with RVs is really the important issue. We may not put a lot of miles on the machine but it still needs regular fluid changes. Many times I would be changing oil in something that had only gone 500 miles but was at the year interval.

An owners manual, even as basic as they are, may help you out.

Owner's manuals really do not cover the true aspects of RV ownership. Mileage means nothing, because you do not drive it the miles that they say in the manual. Therefore, you either change the fluids at one year or 5000 miles which is probably 5 years by most of our standards.
