Manual retraction of bedroom slide - Precept 31ul

Bedroom slide is out and the Schwintek motor has popped out and is spinning. I can't get it to drop back into place. I read that if you detach the power at the controller box that you can manually push slide in. We did this. Me and 2 other gentleman tried pushing the slide in. No luck. Is there a way to push the slides in manually. I'm not looking to do the 6 button push override with the controller. The motor is out of the groove so that would not help.

I'd like to get the slide in so I can take it to get repaired instead of paying for a mobile repair.

Thanks.

You are going to have to pop the other motor up and disengage before pushing back in. You could possibly do the override and push the other side in manually. With the gear ratio in these motors, you cannot turn them manually. At least with the slide out, you can access the screw holding the other motor in.

If you apply pressure to the top of the motor that popped out and have someone bump the switch, you can probably get it to pop back in. I had to do this when I replaced a motor one time.

I have a 2021 31ul with the bedroom slide stuck out.
Can it be manually retracted?
Where are the motor(s) located?

The motors are located at the top on both sides. If the slide is out, you can locate the screw holding the motor in, (located at the top on the outside) remove it, pop the motors up with a flat screwdriver to disengage them and move the slide in. You will need to put a couple 2x4’s at the top on the inside to keep it from sliding back out if you drive it. No way to access the motors from the inside without removing the trim around the slide.

Forgot to ask if you tried the manual over ride on the controller. It usually works.
Great article to help diagnose
