Mice

Help
Getting mice in my 2019 Precep 29v
I have plugged everything that looked like a hole
I even turned on every light on in the motor
And with the slide out I crawled underneath
At night to see if there was light shining through anywhere
And there was nothing
I can’t figure out where they are getting in
The MH is completely empty and I even under coated the under carriage
With mouse free
Still getting in, three so far this year
I have been using a barrel roll trap which has been very effective
Would it be possible that they are getting up on the roof somehow and getting in through the AC
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks Joe

I've seen first hand mice chew thru over a foot of frozen ground to make their nest inside ground mounted utility boxes. Them things are relentless and will do anything. At the end of the season DW uses an entire box of high fragrance dryer sheets in ours. I couldnt tell you what brand but I know they aren't some off brand. We've had good luck with those, others have posted saying otherwise. Either way, effectively trapping them is the best way. I get them in my shed that's 30' away from our trailer. I silicon a peanut to the bait pan, this way they can't spring the trap. I'll reuse that same peanut over and over and will have a run of trapped mice for a week or two and eventually itll quit. I still keep the traps set and will catch one every now and again. Right now, fall time, is the worst, early winter isn't as bad, spring time is so so, and summer is almost non existent.
Sounds like you're doing everything right.
Just keep trapping them.

They only need a hole the size of a pencil. Check the area around the dash.

mouse bait stations, homemade

I purchased a model similar to what I built. Cost $15 or so and I made 5 more myself for around $15 total. Used 10 ft 1.5 inch pipe with Ts and caps with the wire from coat hangers and a $26 tub of mouse bait. Now have one at tongue and one at each of the wheels. I can load 4 or 5 mouse blocks and pets and critters can't get at them. Don't even need to glue them together!. Put a small loop on the bottom of the coat hanger to keep the bait dry. It will fall down as it is eaten.

Anyway, If you feed/kill the mice before they come in it is better than catching them inside! Take a bright light and look for the tinest opening. Including around the power cord, pipes, wires. Slides, if you have them, are like a freeway as they can squeeze through the seals.

I thought of that and bought 4 boxes and the good
Poison bait blocks
The only reason I haven’t used them yet was I was afraid that they still might get it inside and die in the motor Home and die inside where I might not be able to find them, which will create another problem
Do you think they will die before they can get in
Thanks Joe

We have been using Fresh Cab for years and never had a problem with mice or any other critters. It was originally marketed to farmers to use in the cabs of trucks, tractors, combines etc. that are parked for long periods of time. We store our camper in pole shed next to a hay field with a fresh round of Fresh Cab in the spring and fall. I've never found so much as a dead bug. It available all over. I buy it at Tractor Supply.
