Negotiations

I could use some help on negotiated price discounts. We're in negotiations for a 2016 35S. Dealer is only offering 20 percent off MSRP. We booked a 28 percent from the same dealer on our C which came from them. Can you share either here or in PM if you think I'm bring low balled. This is not a stock coach but one they are specifically ordering for us.

Are you trading? Could be the difference, especially if you own more than your current coach is worth.

Our goal is 30% ..... or as close as posible, personally for a few thousands in discount I will be willing to travel say 6 to 8 hundred miles.

Hopefully this is an option for you,

P

Since you aren't that far from their Buffalo location, try www.rvdirect.com. They are who I used as a starting point for negotiating with my local dealer.

X2 -- With a model year 2015 coach currently in the signature, I think Grumpy may be right.

OP, if you are upside down in your 2015, or even close to it, the dealer may be offering a richer trade than the coach can truly support in the wholesale market, if so the dealer will making up that difference on the new coach.

If you are structuring a deal without the current coach being a part of it, which I highly recommend, then I think the dealer is not offering a very consumer friendly price to you on the new unit.

I was quoted around 20% off msrp for a '16 35S. We haven't committed yet, I still can't decide if I want the UN or the S.

I've always shot for 25-30% on motorhomes, and you shouldn't ever have a problem getting it. I've always got way better deals on special orders since it doesn't have to sit on their lot.
