Overhead bunk bed will not go up or down

The green light will appear if you push the button up and when you push it down but nothing will move. It has only been used only four times. It’s a 2016 Alante

Check the wires that are wrapped in the vinyl with the velcro enclosure ( mine is near drivers seat). I had a problem with the bunk not moving in my Precept and there was a wire that had pulled out of a splice. I reconnected it with a new crimp connector to fix the problem.

I have 2018 Alante, 31P, and had exactly the same issue which was resolved by doing what GMA385 described. My wires were between the driverside window and bunk. There was a black 10 guage wire from above and a white from below with yellow connector that had separated. Pushing them together and bingo, back in operation. Don’t forget to disconnect the “ seat belt” buckle above the keyed area as the bunk won’t drop if it is still connected.

I’m sure this is not your problem but thought i’d Add a little humor at my own expense. We don’t use the overhead bunk (just my wife and me) so we weren’t in the routine of raising and lowering it. But, then we decided we wanted to store some stuff up there and I went to lower it and it wouldn’t lower. Yes, the green light was on and I couldn’t figured out why it wouldn’t move. After a few minutes I saw and remembered the seatbelt-style fastener holding it up.
