Please help making decision

Purchasing a Precept 34G. First choice 2020, dealer within apx. 150 miles from home in Florida. Second choice 2019 new, same model but apx. 2300 miles from home. The 2019 is about $12K less than the closer and newer 2020.
My main concern is service. I hear dealers do not like to service units under factory warranty that wasn't purchased at their dealership.
Suggestions please?

12K is alot of money. After sale service is a concern. IMO even 150 miles is a long way to travel for service. I'd look for any nearby RV service techs authorized by Jayco to do warranty and after warranty work. Then go with the best price one.

Use one against the other on pricing. Also if the 2019 model is from a chain dealer you probably would have better luck getting it serviced locally at the same chain dealer. If not you will probably have a hard time to get a RV center to complete warranty work. Call Jayco and see what dealers or service centers close to you are authorized for warranty work then make your decision.

We bought one 350 miles away from us for 10K less with lots of extras than local but it was a chain and have had warranty work done at the chain locally with no problems.

You do not need to take your coach to a Jayco dealer for warranty work. Most MH manufacturers are using the same components made by the same vendors, Norcold, Lippert, Kwikee, Xantrex to name a few. If an issue arises during your warranty period call Jayco Motorized CS and they will authorize you to take it to a non-Jayco dealer of your choice in your local area for repairs. You will need to pay for the repairs and then get reimbursement from Jayco. I purchased my coach new from a dealer over 300 miles away and have never been back. My warranty work (headlight alignment, leaking jack, awning lights, ice maker etc.) were all taken care of at either a local truck service center or a SOB (some other brand) RV dealer. Be courteous and respectful and Jayco will work with you. Good luck with your choice and enjoy the lifestyle.
